Giants coach Tom Coughlin said Monday that Hakeem Nicks’ knee has not improved. Coughlin, when asked if he is concerned about the wide receiver’s knee, said, “How much concern can I show you?” Nicks was downgraded from questionable to doubtful after last Thursdays practice and ultimately did not play against the Eagles. The talented receiver has had problems with his right foot and left knee but the later presents the biggest obstacle. (Ralph Vacchiano on Twitter)
FF Today's Take:Fantasy owners of Nicks should be concerned not only with Nicks’ status for Sunday’s game against the Browns but his season moving forward. Nicks has missed two games this year and his return is still a question mark. Although Ramses Barden only had two catches for 36 yards against the Eagles, after he had 9 catches for 138 yards against the Panthers, the fourth year wide receiver could have some value this week against the Browns. The Browns pass defense ranks 28th in the NFL and Barden has a height advantage of seven inches against both Cleveland DB’s who measure out at 5’10’’.
