Winslow works out with the Pats     -- Tue Sep 4 4:23 pm --

Pats look to further transform offense
Kellen Winslow visited the Patriots yesterday. If signed Winslow would be the fifth TE in the organization alongside Rob Gronkowski, Aaron Hernandez, Visanthe Shiancoe, Daniel Fells, and Jake Ballard who is on injured reserve. The signing would be another indication of the Patriots effort to produce a transformative NFL offense that uses multiple large receivers, that can run, catch, and take advantage of mismatches. (Pro Football Talk)

FF Today's Take: For those owners who drafted Kellen Winslow, the smart move would be to drop the TE who was recently released by Seattle. For those fantasy owners who play in deeper leagues (i.e. 32 team leagues), you may still want to drop the TE unless you have space on your bench, on the off chance he finds a niche in the Patriots offense. Otherwise, the TE shows no value in fantasy for this year. Even if Winslow is signed by the patriots, he is buried on a depth chart full of offensive weapons.
