Jags WR Blackmon has strong debut -- Sat Aug 18 12:41 pm --
After holding out, talented rookie gets first TD | NEW ORLEANS — Rookie Justin Blackmon, who parlayed his 12-day holdout into a guaranteed $18.5 million contract, made his preseason debut Friday night and played as if he’s ready to start earning that money.
Blackmon caught Blaine Gabbert’s first pass and finished with four catches for 48 yards, including a 16-yard touchdown catch as the Jaguars’ starters dominated.

FF Today's Take: Blackmon's holdout and Blaine Gabbert's dismal 2011 have depressed the rookie receiver's fantasy stock up to this point. However, his strong showing over the weekend will yield a rising ADP over the next week. If RB Maurice Jones-Drew continue to hold out into the regular season, Blackmon may be the most talented player on the entire offense and the recipient of plenty of targets early on.
