WR Greg Jennings nearing return-- Fri Aug 17 9:30 pm -- From concussion that has kept him sidelined for two weeks
Green Bay Packers coach Mike McCarthy says wide receiver Greg Jennings has made significant steps in his recovery from a concussion and may be able to return to practice Sunday. Jennings has been out of practice since he sustained a concussion in the Packers' Aug. 3 "Family Night'' scrimmage at Lambeau Field. McCarthy said Friday that Jennings had progressed through the protocol for returning from head injuries and was close to returning. (SI)
FF Today's Take:Expect the Greg Jennings/Jordy Nelson tandem to challenge the Hakeem Nicks/Victor Cruz pairing for best wide receiving duo in the NFL. Roddy White and Julio Jones are sure to be another pair that will give opposing secondaries nightmares.
