Collie could be more than just slot WR     -- Sun Jul 29 8:20 pm --

Has a chance to play outside as well
Pierre Garcon left the door open a crack when he departed the Indianapolis Colts for the Washington Redskins. Now it is up to Austin Collie to kick it down. Collie’s life with the Colts has been relegated mostly to the slot receiver position, meaning he would line up and work between the tight end and either Garcon or Reggie Wayne. Now he will have a chance to do more. Colts HC Chuck Pagano is pleased with how quickly rookie QB Andrew Luck and Collie have struck a chord. “It’s nice to see that chemistry start to unfold so quickly,” said Pagano. FF Today's Take: Collie presents a dilemma for fantasy owners in that he has went from being a fantasy revelation with injury concerns in 2010 to a virtual non-threat in 2011. Now, he'll have to outshine two highly-regarded rookie TEs and Reggie Wayne to be fantasy relevant again. The question becomes: did he thrive because he was Peyton Manning's slot receiver or is he actually someone who can play outside but excels inside? Assuming he beats out injury-prone Donnie Avery, he has a shot at the latter.
