Saints, Brees agree on new deal -- Fri Jul 13 1:45 pm --
Five-year, $100 million contract; 60 million guaranteed | Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints have reached an agreement on a five-year, $100 million contract that all sides concur will guarantee Brees an NFL-record $60 million, including a first-year take in 2012 of $40 million, according to league, players union, and team sources. (ESPN)
FF Today's Take: The two sides had until Monday afternoon to reach a deal on a long-term agreement. Any notion of Brees missing games have gone out the window allowing fantasy owners can breathe easy and expect a top-five performance from the Saints QB in 2012.
