WR Josh Gordon runs 4.52 at pro day     -- Wed Jul 11 1:25 pm --

Griffin III wants 'Skins to draft former Baylor teammate
Former Baylor wide receiver Josh Gordon ran a 4.52 40-yard dash in front of representatives from 21 teams at his pro day Tuesday. Gordon held the workout in advance of Thursday's supplemental draft. He spent last season out of football after Baylor dismissed him from the team in August 2011. Gordon then transferred to Utah but had to leave the school for the supplemental draft for financial reasons. Gordon left Baylor after being suspended for violating an unspecified team rule. "It (suspension at Baylor) was due to a failed marijuana test," Gordon told the Chronicle after working out at the Houston Texans' facility Tuesday. "It was against school policy, of course, and I was (suspended) in the summer. I've definitely put that part of my life behind me." (ESPN)

FF Today's Take: There are reports that Robert Griffin III would like his Washington Redskins to select Gordon, who is a former Baylor Bears' teammate. At 6-foot-3, Gordon is a unique blend of size and speed that the Redskins don't currently have in Pierre Garcon or Santana Moss.
