Injury Britt ready to "grow up and move on"     -- Fri Jun 22 7:15 pm --

Titan ready to put poor decisions behind him
After a spirited tug-o-war competition on Thursday morning, Coach Mike Munchak gathered Titans players together for a brief lecture before releasing them on their own recognizance for five weeks. The message: “Be focused and make good decisions.” Are you listening, Kenny Britt? Check that. At times, the warning might have been aimed at the player fellow wide receiver Nate Washington called “the old Kenny.” These days, Britt has cleaned up his act. At age 23 and with three NFL seasons on his resume, he talks about maturing both as a person and as a player. Britt acknowledges “some bad decisions in the past.” “You grow up and move on,” he said. Beyond that, Britt continues to be anchored at the Titans’ facility, rehabbing the knee injury that ended his season after just three games last year. He says he’ll spend this weekend visiting family and friends in New Jersey. And he swears he’ll be on his best behavior. (Tennessean)

FF Today's Take: Britt was turning into an elite wide receiver in 2011 before a torn ACL limited his season to just three games. Known for his unique blend of size, speed and leaping ability, Britt is a nightmare for opposing defenders and could feasibly surpass both the 1000-receiving yard and 10-touchdown marks for the first time in 2012.
