Harvin requesting a trade from Vikings -- Wed Jun 20 12:30 pm --
Vikings receiver unhappy in Minnesota | Percy Harvin's power play reached its second stage when, a day after expressing his unhappiness at Vikings mini-camp, it was revealed he has asked for a trade.
A source close to the situation confirmed the trade request to the Star Tribune. The trade request was first reported by the Associated Press. "I'll put it this way, it's a lot of different things that have to be sorted out," Harvin said on Tuesday. "Just haven't been too happy lately. So we've got a couple things to work on." (Minneapolis Star Tribune)
FF Today's Take: Harvin has two years left on his rookie contract and hasn't been specific about his frustrations. In any case, it's highly unlikely the Vikings would trade Harvin given their thin receiving corps and lack of play-makers on offense. Suspended Jerome Simpson (3-game suspension), Michael Jenkins, and Devin Aromashodu are Minnesota's other top wideouts.
