Injury Leshoure the answer to running game?     -- Sun Jun 17 7:45 pm --

RB "can get the tough yards" if recovery stays on course
Mikel Leshoure could be the answer here. Despite his offseason issues, despite being suspended for the first two games of the season and despite coming off Achilles surgery, Leshoure is the guy who can get the tough yards, who can break off big runs and can make plays with his hands. If his recovery stays on course, he's the primary back the Lions have been missing. Jahvid Best, if he can put his concussion issues behind him, can finally play the Reggie Bush, Darren Sproles-type role the Lions always envisioned for him. (Detroit News)

FF Today's Take: If Leshoure is to be "the answer", he'll need to be so impressive that the team is compelled to play him even after his season-opening two-game suspension, and that's assuming he regains all of his pre-injury burst and explosion. In other words, he has plenty of obstacles to overcome. Best is still the back to own - especially in PPR - but Leshoure and even Kevin Smith should all be owned in fantasy this fall given the injury concerns all three runners have.
