Laurent Robinson off to fast start     -- Sun Jun 17 6:35 pm --

Free-agent signing "obvious leader" of Jags' WR corps
The obvious leader of the Jaguars' receiving corps is free agent acquisition Laurent Robinson. He is big, athletic, precise and catches the ball away from his body. Robinson also has a head start on the Jaguars offense, having played for Mike Mularkey before, and it shows. Mike Thomas and first-round draft pick Justin Blackmon are next. Blackmon, forced to overcome his DUI arrest, showed athleticism through this offseason and Mularkey praised Thomas’s versatility. (Florida Times Union)

FF Today's Take: It's been said a number of times: Robinson has never lacked for talent, so it is good to see him healthy and taking advantage of his previous work with Mularkey. However, despite his recent DUI arrest, Blackmon should quickly emerge as the go-to option for second-year QB Blaine Gabbert, leaving Robinson in the WR2 role he is most suited for in this run-heavy offense.
