Locker will not be handed starting job -- Mon May 14 7:45 pm --
Titans likely to decide on QB during training camp | Jake Locker didn't get the benefit of playing much last year, but two things are important to note. First, the Titans are thrilled with how Matt Hasselbeck has mentored the young quarterback. And second, Locker will have every opportunity to be the starter this year.
"You hope it becomes obvious fairly early on, and hope it doesn't take until the last week of camp," Munchak said. "(Locker) came in at crunch time, and handled it and got better. It made us feel great, seeing how he came in and performed under pressure."

FF Today's Take: In limited time, Locker actually posted the best passer rating of all the rookies. But he doesn't have the body of work of the other three first-rounders, or even Andy Dalton and T.J. Yates. What is clear is that whichever quarterback wins the competition will have a lot of talent around him, including Chris Johnson, Jared Cook, Nate Washington, first-round pick Kendall Wright and (hopefully) a healthy Kenny Britt.
