Mike Wallace to hold out for new deal     -- Wed Apr 11 11:30 pm --

Steelers star WR won't sign franchise tender
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Mike Wallace was slapped with the franchise tag last month, so he’s not going anywhere — but according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, he has no interest in signing his tender. If Wallace signed, he’d be agreeing to remain a Steeler for one year and $2.7 million; understandably, he’d much rather work out a long-term deal to earn far, far more than that. The Detroit Lions recently signed Calvin Johnson for seven years and $132 million, and the Arizona Cardinals inked Larry Fitzgerald last year for eight years and $120 million. Wallace thinks he’s in that elite class, and he might be right. (SI)

FF Today's Take: Wallace might be the fastest player in the NFL. With his world class speed, he is a big play threat every time he is on the field. He's earned a big paycheck so expect the Steelers to reward their prized receiver.
