Former first-rounder could receive discipline from the NFL
Detroit Lions defensive tackle Nick Fairley was arrested Tuesday in Alabama on a charge of possessing marijuana, authorities said. Citizens called to complain that Fairley’s Cadillac Escalade was speeding through a lower-middle class neighborhood in Mobile, said city police spokeswoman Ashley Rains. Officers smelled marijuana coming from the vehicle and found a small amount in an ashtray, Rains said. (Yahoo Sports)

FF Today's Take: The 2011 first-round pick suffered a broken foot in training camp last year that limited him to just 10 games as a rookie. He could potentially miss more time in 2012 if the NFL decides to discipline Fairley for his off-field incident.
