Former Giant joins the 49ers
The San Francisco 49ers agreed to a one-year contract with former New York Giants running back Brandon Jacobs, a league source said Wednesday. Jacobs is the second former Giant to join the 49ers this offseason, following receiver Mario Manningham, who signed a two-year contract last week. (ESPN)

FF Today's Take: Jacobs will backup Frank Gore in the running rotation while Kendall Hunter will remain the change-of-pace back. Expect Jacobs to get the majority of short yardage carries and vulture TDs away from Frank Gore.
