Injury Dallas Clark out indefinitely     -- Wed Oct 20 7:00 pm --

With hand/wrist injury
Indianapolis Colts Pro Bowl tight end Dallas Clark has a hand/wrist injury that will sideline him indefinitely, sources close to the situation said Wednesday. The length of Clark's absence is uncertain, as is the exact nature of his injury. "He's being evaluated," Colts coach Jim Caldwell said Wednesday when asked about Clark's injury. Clark plans to get a second and possibly even third opinion before the Colts fully determine exactly how long he will be out, a league source said. (ESPN.com)

FF Today's Take: Any time surgery is being discussed as a possible option, the injury has the potential to keep its victim sidelined for a while. With the injury bug preying on other premier tight ends like Jermichael Finley and Antonio Gates in recent weeks, Clark owners should quickly seek out a replacement. Rookie Brody Eldridge could step in for Clark if he misses any time.
