Orton Likely A Game-Time Decision-- Thu Nov 19 6:45 pm -- Misses Second Consecutive Practice
Denver Broncos quarterback Kyle Orton was a no-show at practice for the second straight day.
Orton has a sprained left ankle, and has one more chance to practice this week. The Broncos have a practice on Friday, which is their final practice before Sunday’s game. McDaniels said he has no set rule on whether someone can play after not practicing.
"I came back last year as soon as I could and I’ll do the same this year," Orton said.
McDaniels said Chris Simms practiced well on Wednesday, and seemed to gain confidence as the session went on. Simms completed only three passes for 13 yards in the second half of Sunday’s loss to Washington.

FF Today's Take:Orton was referring to the right ankle sprain that he suffered as a Chicago Bear last season. It should be noted that his play after returning from the 2008 injury paled in comparison to his play pre-injury. The practice report on Simms is encouraging since the journeyman looked awful in relief of Orton in Week 10. Brandon Marshall owners should continue to keep a close eye on this situation.
