Browns Place D'Qwell Jackson On IR-- Tue Oct 20 6:30 pm -- Lose Leading Tackler To Shoulder Injury
The Cleveland Browns today placed linebacker D'Qwell Jackson on injured reserve with a shoulder injury he sustained in last Sunday's game at Pittsburgh, the team announced.
Jackson started all six games this season, and recorded a team-high 57 tackles, two passes defensed and one forced fumble. (Clevelandbrowns.com)
FF Today's Take:The Browns' 30th-ranked rush defense just got a whole lot worse. Jackson, a free-agent-to-be after this season, was third in the league in tackles despite being hampered by a nagging hamstring injury over the past few weeks. Rookie David Veikune will likely step in for Jackson and play opposite Eric Barton in Cleveland's 3-4 defense.
