Lamar Jackson to run less in 2019?
Averaged 17 rushing attempts in 2018
By: Mike Krueger | May 29 2019, 11:00 pm

Baltimore Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti said Wednesday night that the vision of the organization is to build the team around Lamar Jackson and to decrease the rushing attempts for its young franchise quarterback. "I think you'll be pleasantly surprised that Lamar is not going to be running 20 times a game," Bisciotti said in his first public comments in more than a year. "That's not what this offense is about." (ESPN)

FFToday's Take: Jackson set an NFL record for rushing attempts by a QB (147) last season but it sounds like the plan is to scale back his running in 2019. Jackson had double-digit rushing attempts in every regular season game he started including two games with at least 20 attempts. Jackson completed just 58.2 percent of his passes last season.
