Cleveland Browns

Kareem Hunt gets 8-game suspension
Will not appeal
By: Mike Krueger | Mar 15 2019, 10:15 am

The Browns will be without running back Kareem Hunt for the first eight games of the season, a league source told cleveland.com. The NFL suspended Hunt for half the season for his incident in the hallway outside his downtown Cleveland apartment in Febuary of 2017 where he was captured on video shoving and kicking a woman. Hunt will accept the suspension and not appeal, the source said. (Cleveland Plain Dealer)

FFToday's Take: Six to eight games was the prevailing wisdom on Hunt's suspension so this falls in line with expectation. With no appeal we have a grasp on how many games he'll be eligible to in 2019. Hunt's fantasy value is complicated by the fact that the team already has Nick Chubb who is capable of handling and every-down role. Still, Hunt's talent should make him fantasy worthy in the back half of the season. He'll be a late-round pick in leagues with at least 18 roster spots.
