Releasing Antonio Brown not an option for PIT
Team president: "All other options are on the table"
By: Doug Orth | Jan 10 2019, 7:00 pm

Steelers President Art Rooney II said Thursday the team is not going to release Antonio Brown, but “all other options are on the table” following the wide receiver’s insubordinate behavior before and after the final regular-season game against the Cincinnati Bengals. He even went so far as to say it would be “hard to envision” Brown being with the Steelers when they report to training camp in July. Nobody in an official capacity with the Steelers has spoken with the seven-time Pro Bowl receiver since he left Heinz Field shortly after the game against the Bengals began (in Week 17). Brown has refused to return repeated phone calls from Rooney and coach Mike Tomlin. (Pittsburgh Post-Gazette)

FFToday's Take: What first appeared to be a bit of a tantrum during a Week 17 practice now looks like it will result in Brown having played his final snaps as a Steeler. Rooney appears willing to figure out what has upset Brown, and Pittsburgh can't officially move him until at least March 13. Brown is due a $2.5 million roster bonus on March 17, so that would seem to be the window for a trade. JuJu Smith-Schuster figures to become a high-end fantasy WR should Brown get dealt.
