Devonta Freeman to miss Week 2 Knee injury By: Mike Krueger | Sep 14 2018, 11:30 am
Falcons running back Devonta Freeman (sore RIGHT knee) will not play against the Panthers on Sunday, coach Dan Quinn said Friday. Freeman, who suffered a sprained posterior cruciate and medial collateral ligaments in his right knee in the regular-season final against Carolina, was slowed in the playoffs. He didn’t have offseason surgery and was hit on the same knee late in the season opener against Philadelphia.
He was pulled from the game and didn’t practice at all this week. (Atlanta Jounal Constitution)
FFToday's Take:This could be an issue for Freeman past Week 2 even though there is nothing structurally wrong with his knee but for the time being, Tevin Coleman will operate as the Falcons lead back and should flirt with 20 touches against the Panthers making him a solid RB2.
