Cleveland Browns

Browns hopeful Gordon will return soon
WR still undergoing counseling in Florida
By: Doug Orth | Aug 16 2018, 6:20 pm

Josh Gordon is still in Gainesville, Fla., under the care of his NFL-sanctioned medical team, and his future is in its hands. If his doctors believe he's ready to handle the demands of an NFL season and stay clean and sober, they will allow him to come back. Because Gordon didn't fail a test, no suspension is anticipated once he returns. Therefore, he could still be back by the start of the season. But no one knows for sure, not even the Browns. But the Browns still seem optimistic he's returning sometime soon. (Cleveland-Plain Dealer)

FFToday's Take: Owners would be wise to treat him as a high-risk, high-reward WR4, although few leagues will allow him to slip in a draft to the point where his upside meets his risk. All we can hope at the moment is that his life is on the right path and embracing the tools he is being provided with by his medical team to defeat his demons. For now, Jarvis Landry appears to be in line for another high-volume season.
