Cordarrelle Patterson impressive so far
Highlight-reel catches becoming the norm
By: Doug Orth | Aug 6 2018, 7:50 pm

New England Patriots
It was another day and another highlight-reel catch from Cordarrelle Patterson on Friday. It’s becoming routine. On the play, Patterson streaked down the left sideline with cornerback Ryan Lewis in tow. Brian Hoyer tossed a deep pass to the end zone and Patterson, never breaking stride, leaped up and over Lewis, hauling in the touchdown pass with just his left arm. During training camp, the new Patriots receiver has grown accustomed to making difficult catches look easy. For someone known as an outstanding kickoff returner, Patterson is turning heads on the receiving end. (The Providence Journal)

FFToday's Take: Patterson making noise in the summer is not a new thing. However, the Patriots have a way of finding value where none seems to exist. New England is by far the best offense he will have played with in his career, although it remains to be seen whether or not he has made any strides in the art of being a receiver. Owners should keep him on their radar but remain skeptical. Perhaps he ends up filling the void left behind by Malcolm Mitchell.
