Steelers trade Martavis Bryant to Raiders Pittsburgh receives 3rd round pick By: Mike Krueger | Apr 26 2018, 10:00 pm
The Pittsburgh Steelers traded wide receiver Martavis Bryant to the Oakland Raiders on Thursday night for a third-round draft pick. The talented but enigmatic Bryant had asked to be traded out of Pittsburgh last September, and Raiders general manager Reggie McKenzie said Thursday that Oakland had been "on this for a while" when asked about the deal. FFToday's Take:The Steelers got a 3rd round pick (79 overall) from Oakland. Bryant was originally drafted in the 4th round back in 2014 by Pittsburgh. Bryant is a big-play threat but has lacked consistency in his three seasons on the field and has already been suspended a full season (2016) for drug violations. The Raiders would be wise to kick Jordy Nelson into the slot and let Amari Cooper and Bryant work outside.
