Jets ready to make a play for Cousins
New York reportedly $70 million under salary cap
By: Mike Krueger | Feb 19 2018, 11:00 am

The game plan: It's simple: Get Kirk Cousins. The Jets want him badly, and sources say they're willing to pay whatever it takes -- unless the Washington Redskins decide to tag him for a third time (unlikely). Money aside, the Jets hope to convince him he'll have a chance to win in New York. (ESPN)

FFToday's Take: With Josh McCown a free agent the Jets are in the market for a quarterback and are willing to make a run at Cousins. The Jets are reportedly $70 million under the cap giving them plenty of room to overpay for the Redskins QB. The Broncos and Vikings are also potential suitors giving Cousins significant leverage in negotiations.
