| David Johnson to get cast removed Monday Chances of 2017 return following wrist surgery still unknown By: Doug Orth | Nov 9 2017, 7:20 pm

| (David Johnson's) cast comes off on Monday, and that’s important for Johnson, who doesn’t want 2017 to end up as a completely lost season. Whether Johnson can figure in that playoff push remains to be seen. He says he wants to return this season regardless of the Cardinals’ record, even if they never win another game. He won’t know anything definitively until the cast comes off. Then the doctors will assess how stiff, or atrophied, the wrist it, and they’ll design a rehabilitation plan for Johnson for the wrist specifically. (SI.com - Greg Bishop)
FFToday's Take: Consider this a non-update update, outside of the fact Johnson will have his cast removed early next week. Owners who have held onto him this long might as well continue to do so, but there are a ton of things that must go right for him in order for him to see the field again in 2017. Even then, how will the backfield workload be split between him and Adrian Peterson? Answers may be coming in the next week or so, but there are still no guarantees he makes it back.
