Ty Montgomery feeling "fine"
Took some hits in practice while wearing flak jacket Thursday

Ty Montgomery said he took some hits on his ribs in practice and "felt fine." He said it made him "feel comfortable" that he was able to absorb some hits while playing with a protective flak jacket seen here under his jersey at today's practice. (ESPN - Rob Demovsky)

FFToday's Take: It sounds as if he Montgomery has a decent shot at playing in Week 6, although the team could always sit him out this week and next in order to give his ribs nearly a month to recover. Aaron Jones may have done enough already to share early-down carries (if not assume the role outright), but Montgomery's contributions as a receiver out of the backfield figure to remain a staple of the offense when he returns.
