Devonta Freeman signs five-year extension Includes 15 million dollar signing bonus By: Jake Gordon | Aug 9 2017, 10:46 am
The Atlanta Falcons and two-time Pro Bowl running back Devonta Freeman have agreed on a five-year contract extension the team announced Wednesday.
The deal is worth $41.25 million and includes a $15 million signing bonus, agent Kristin Campbell told ESPN. $22 million is guaranteed.
FFToday's Take:After riding the running game all the way to the Super Bowl, it's not a surprise to see Atlanta's top brass retain its premier running back. Fantasy owners can draft Freeman as a solid RB1 without worry of a holdout. Atlanta now has both of their top running backs under contract for at least two more seasons with Tevin Coleman's rookie deal coming to an end following the 2018 campaign.
