| Keenan Allen flashing pre-injury form QB: "Looks as good as he did before he got hurt" By: Doug Orth | Jul 20 2017, 7:20 pm
| Keenan Allen, who also missed eight games with a lacerated kidney in 2015, was working on the field with the team during OTAs this spring and Rivers said he doesn’t think anyone will notice a difference in the wideout’s play.
“I really think he looks as good as he did before he got hurt,” Rivers said on The Rich Eisen Show. (Pro Football Talk)
FFToday's Take: Owners shouldn't expect to hear anything different from Rivers regarding Allen. Each ACL rehab is its own separate case and Allen theoretically should be in good shape for the season opener considering his ACL tear happened in Week 1 last year. With that said, most ACL patients struggle to gain trust in their knee until the second year, which was the case with Kelvin Benjamin last year. He should be treated as a high-risk, high-reward WR2 in fantasy in 2017.
