Mike Glennon to remain starter all season?
Mitchell Trubisky not expected to push veteran
By: Doug Orth | Jul 17 2017, 6:50 pm

For those just tuning back in after last year's 3-13 finish - this is not an open quarterback competition. It's not veteran Mike Glennon versus second-overall pick Mitchell Trubisky with coach John Fox dangling the car keys between them. It's Glennon's job on Day 1, and the team plans for the depth chart to remain stacked that way. All season, in fact. Until further notice, Glennon's grip on the job remains strong because he is the only one of the two trained in an NFL offense. (Chicago Tribune)

FFToday's Take: It's the right approach given how raw Trubisky is, but it remains to be seen if the Bears will have the conviction to stick to it like so few teams before them have. At the very least, Glennon should give this offense - specifically Cameron Meredith and Jordan Howard - a decent shot to match or exceed its production from last season. Glennon is a low-end QB2 for fantasy purposes.
