Panthers fire Dave Gettleman

FFToday's Take: While NFL teams have no problem handing out pink slips, it is extremely unusual for executives to receive them at any point of the year unless it is right after the end of the season. There is speculation the reason Gettleman was let go was because he either wasn't interested or wasn't making any progress on extensions for a pair of Richardson's favorites in Thomas Davis and Greg Olsen.
