Dennis Pitta re-injures hip during OTAs Ravens TE suffers another hip injury By: Mike Krueger | Jun 2 2017, 3:30 pm
Ravens tight end Dennis Pitta reinjured his hip during Friday's organized team activities and is undergoing tests to determine the severity of the injury, the team announced. Friday's OTAs were not open to reporters. According to the team website, Pitta stretched for a catch, fell to the turf and couldn’t put weight on his leg as he tried to get up. (Baltimore Sun)
FFToday's Take:Pitta inured his hip twice before and missed the entire 2015 season as a result. He led all tight ends in 2016 with 86 receptions. The Ravens have a number of bodies at tight end but most are dealing with injuries including Ben Watson (Achilles)and Maxx Williams (ACL). Free agent Gary Barnidge could be Ozzie Newsome's radar.
