Vikings fill RB void with Latavius Murray Adrian Peterson era comes to an end By: Mike Krueger | Mar 16 2017, 8:27 am
The Vikings early Thursday morning signed former Oakland Raiders running back Latavius Murray, and by doing so they likely closed the door on the Adrian Peterson era. Murray rushed for 2,278 yards and 20 touchdowns in his four years in Oakland, averaging 4.2 yards per carry. (Minneapolis Star Tribune)
FFToday's Take:Murray was a solid performer in Oakland but was part of a three-man committee last season capping his fantasy upside. In Minnesota he'll fill Adrian Peterson's big back role while sharing snaps with Jerick McKinnon. Minnesota's offensive line is a weak point in there offense meaning Murray will do well to achieve RB2 status in 2017.
