| Jaylon Smith moving without issues Continues return from college ACL and LCL injuries By: Doug Orth | Jan 30 2017, 5:45 pm
| Dallas Cowboys LB Jaylon Smith (torn ACL and LCL) continues to wear a brace to help lift his foot, but he is running and cutting without issues. He can play with the brace on his leg. Will it limit his effectiveness? There is no way of knowing, but if Smith can come close to the player he was at Notre Dame, then the Cowboys' defense will improve greatly. (ESPN)
FFToday's Take: Smith is a difference-making talent who might be available to play in 2017 if the nerve condition in his knee improves. That is far from a given, however. If he is cleared to play at some point and approaches the level he flashed at Notre Dame, he would become a mainstay in the middle of the Dallas defense and form a great duo with WLB Sean Lee.
