Melvin Gordon sat out Pro Bowl as a precaution
Missed final three games of season with sprained PCL
By: Doug Orth | Jan 30 2017, 5:30 pm

Melvin Gordon missed the final three games to a sprained posterior cruciate ligament. He finished with 254 carries for 997 yards and 10 touchdowns, adding 41 catches for 419 yards and two scores. By choosing a proactive approach Sunday, he ensured to be healthy when working to build off a breakout campaign. (San Diego Union-Tribune)

FFToday's Take: Gordon will enter the offseason fully healthy, which was not the story last season when he underwent microfracture knee surgery. Despite finishing just three rushing yards shy of 1,000, Gordon established himself as a three-down force once Danny Woodhead (ACL) was lost for the season. The Chargers hope to bring back Woodhead, but there is little doubt he will play a bit role behind Gordon, who should be in the discussion to be among the top-five RBs in fantasy drafts.
