C.J. Fiedorowicz's pass-game role expanding
Third-year TE drawing praise from coach, play-caller
By: Doug Orth | Oct 20 2016, 6:40 pm

C.J. Fiedorowicz has become a larger factor in the Texans' passing game. Fiedorowicz is having a career breakthrough year. He's already caught 16 passes for 201 yards and two touchdowns, including a game-tying score during an overtime win over the Indianapolis Colts last weekend. "He's gotten much better as a route runner. Obviously, Brock (Osweiler) has a lot of faith in him," HC Bill O'Brien said. "We always talk to the players about expanding and creating their role and defining it. He's defining his role a little bit more in the passing game," OC George Godsey said. (Houston Chronicle)

FFToday's Take: Owners have been slow to warm up to Fiedorowicz, but this should help change that. The third-year tight end has drawn 20 targets over the last three weeks and caught 14 of them for 194 yards and two touchdowns. Fiedorowicz was already a strong blocker, so his improvement in the passing game should allow him to become a full-time player. Given the current landscape at his position, he could enter the TE1 discussion pretty soon. He's definitely worth streaming this week versus the Broncos.
