Green Bay Packers

Don Jackson likely to start Week 7 vs. Bears
Eddie Lacy expected to miss most of regular season
By: Doug Orth | Oct 20 2016, 1:50 pm

The Packers will determine later if Eddie Lacy’s season is over. But tonight, newly promoted RB Don Jackson will be the main back. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Owners can pretty much stick a fork into the impending free agent for 2016 as IR will keep him out until late into December. Even though the Packers traded for Knile Davis on Tuesday, Jackson is the right choice to start against the Bears if only because he has been around the team and should know the offense. Ty Montgomery, Knile Davis and perhaps even Randall Cobb might get some backfield work, so Jackson is a desperation start at best tonight. Davis is the better long-term bet, however.
