Vikings place Adrian Peterson on IR
Earliest return would be Week 11

The Vikings placed Adrian Peterson on injured reserve Friday. Peterson underwent surgery Thursday to repair a torn lateral meniscus in his right knee. It’s still possible Peterson returns this season as each NFL team is allowed to reinstate one player from injured reserve after eight weeks. (Minneapolis Star Tribune)

FFToday's Take: The earliest Peterson could return would be Week 11 although it's likely he won't be back during the regular season. Jerick McKinnon and Matt Asiata will form a committee for the Vikes moving forward.
