Houston Texans

Rob Gronkowski active for Week 3
Cleared to play for first time since Aug. 15 hamstring injury
By: Doug Orth | Sep 22 2016, 7:20 pm

While the New England Patriots are planning to enter Thursday night's game against the Houston Texans with rookie Jacoby Brissett as their only quarterback, they will be boosted by the return of tight end Rob Gronkowski, who will be active, a league source tells ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter. (ESPN)

FFToday's Take: Gronkowski can immediately be inserted back into lineup, but expectations need to be kept a bit in check since Brissett is making his first start against a pretty stout defense in the Texans. Given the circumstances, Gronk should be considered a midrange TE1 in part because he could very well be on a snap count. The good news is that Gronkowski should return to the consensus top tight end in fantasy and be up to speed by the time Tom Brady returns in Week 5.
