New England Patriots

Rob Gronkowski out Week 1
Didn't make the trip to Arizona
By: Mike Krueger | Sep 9 2016, 8:00 pm

The Patriots announced Friday that tight end Rob Gronkowski will not play Sunday night, along with offensive linemen Jonathan Cooper and Nate Solder. Gronk was limited in practice all week after injuring his hamstring a fortnight ago. (NFL.com)

FFToday's Take: Gronk's pre-season hamstring injury is going to cost him at least Week 1. His absence means TE Martellus Bennett should see a slight increase in usage along with WR Julian Edelman. Jimmy Garoppolo will have his hands full with the Arizona defense on the road and without his best receiving threat.
