Dallas Cowboys

Zeke Elliott likely to be eased in this weekend
Rookie RB expected to play about "a dozen plays or so"
By: Doug Orth | Aug 25 2016, 5:15 pm

Cowboys expect rookie RB Ezekiel Elliott to be in for about a dozen plays or so tonight in his debut. Easing him into action. (Brandon George on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: The MMQB reported Thursday Dallas had concerns about Elliott's weight before camp - he was roughly six pounds over his 225-pound weigh-in at the combine - although that doesn't appear to be an issue now. Regarding his limited snap count, pro-Elliott owners probably don't have to worry about him leaping into the first round of fantasy drafts as a result of this weekend's action. However, owners should be aware it might take a couple of weeks of regular-season action for Dallas to ramp up his workload to 20 touches.
