Titans working on plan to split carries
DeMarco Murray and Derrick Henry will work in tandem
By: Jake Gordon | Aug 24 2016, 4:15 pm

The Titans will have a game plan for DeMarco Murray and Derrick Henry, of course. Offensive coordinator Terry Robiskie will be calling the plays, but certainly Mularkey can make requests. “We’ll find ways to get [Henry] on the field,” he said. “We know what he’s capable of doing. I just want to be careful, I did it one time when I went in and was worrying about how many numbers guys were getting and it didn’t work. “We’re going to do what’s best for the team like we’ve been doing from the beginning. And whatever that is, if he’s a large part of it, [he] is. But he’ll have a role, definitely.” Mularkey said while Henry has shown he needs to be on the field, Murray hasn’t shown any reason not to be on the field. (ESPN.com)

FFToday's Take: There really isn't anything new to chew on here other than the confirmation that rookie Derrick Henry has carved out a true role within Tennessee's backfield. Instead of simply spelling DeMarco Murray in the traditional backup role, Henry is expected to be a consistent part of the running game each week. Nonetheless, the team will need improved play from its offensive line in order to make either running back a top option. In redraft leagues Murray looks like a nice RB2 value heading into the year while Henry deserves to be moved firmly into RB3 territory.
