| Coby Fleener still 'work in progress' in Saints O Payton says TE has details "he's got to work on" By: Antonio D'Arcangelis | Aug 23 2016, 11:22 am
| Some of the finer points of the TE position could limit Coby Fleener's opportunities as he adjusts to a new offense, according to Saints HC Sean Payton:
"I'd say it's an ongoing progression," Payton said Monday of Fleener's adjustment process. "I think, man, there's some plays that are real good, and then there's some plays where we've got to be a little bit more detailed and that's something that I know he's got to work on." (Nola.com)
FFToday's Take: Even though the Saints oddly listed Fleener as the No. 3 tight end on their unofficial depth chart before last week's game in Houston, he's clearly the top tight end for the passing game, both from his performance this summer and his five-year, $36 million contract. Josh Hill and Michael Hoomanawanui are also on the roster, but neither has the pass-catching ability of Fleener.
