Sanchez falling down depth chart in Denver
Trevor Siemian set to start second straight preseason game
By: Doug Orth | Aug 22 2016, 6:35 pm

Broncos HC Gary Kubiak said Monday that Trevor Siemian would be his starting quarterback this Saturday against the Los Angeles Rams in preseason game No. 3. That’s two preseason starts in a row for Siemian in the two most important exhibition games for the first stringers. Kubiak said both Mark Sanchez and first-round rookie Paxton Lynch would play against the Rams. In what order, Kubiak wouldn’t say. Nor would he say Siemian is the starter Sept. 8 in the regular-season opener against Carolina. (9News,com)

FFToday's Take: This news will affect very few redraft owners directly as Sanchez, Siemien or Lynch probably aren't going to see a lot of time in fantasy lineups this fall. However, the fantasy fates of Demaryius Thomas, Emmanuel Sanders and possibly even Virgil Green rest in the hands of the winner. Siemian appears to be in good position to seal the deal this weekend, but the fact Lynch is getting a chance to play in preseason game No. 3 means he is still in the running for the starting spot.
