| Dion Lewis expected to miss 8-10 weeks PUP list seems likely By: Mike Krueger | Aug 21 2016, 4:30 pm
| Running back Dion Lewis will be sidelined for another 8-10 weeks after he endures a second surgery on his left knee, according to a source. The ACL, which was repaired in November, is OK, but the Patriots’ medical staff determined they need to clean up an unspecified area in the knee. (Boston Herald)
FFToday's Take: The "clean-up procedure" will likely cost Lewis a good chunk of the season and should land him on the PUP list to begin the year, causing him to miss at least the first six weeks. LeGarrette Blount and James White appear to be the likely candidates for early season backfield work in New England with Tyler Gaffney, Brandon Bolden waiting in the wings.
