ATL still talking up bigger role for Coleman
Team eyeing more touches in tandem with Devonta Freeman
By: Doug Orth | Jul 28 2016, 4:30 pm

Now in his second NFL training camp, RB Tevin Coleman said he feels a greater sense of comfort right now than he did last summer. The Falcons want to get him more carries in 2016 and feature him more in the passing game, which they did Thursday, sending him on a variety of routes during 11-on-11 drills. “They’re finding more ways to get the backs out there and get them the ball,” Coleman said. FFToday's Take: Hardly a week has gone by this offseason without some outlet reporting Atlanta's desire to get the ball into Coleman's hands more often. While a 50-50 split remains unlikely, a 60-40 timeshare is possible with Devonta Freeman on the higher end. If the Falcons use that as their guideline, Freeman will have a difficult time living up to his second-round ADP. Conversely, Coleman is looking more and more like a steal at his ninth-round ADP.
