Melvin Gordon expected to be full-go by camp
Took part in spring camp as well
By: Doug Orth | Jun 30 2016, 2:40 pm

Melvin Gordon, said LaDainian Tomlinson in December, will rebound from an uneven rookie season. Following microfracture knee surgery Jan. 5, the 2015 first-round draftee took part in spring camp and is expected to be back to 100 percent in training camp. Chargers players say OC Ken Whisenhunt's return bodes well for the ground game and Gordon in particular. In Whisenhunt's other season with San Diego, RB Ryan Mathews got his career back on track and led the Bolts down the stretch to a playoff berth. (San Diego Union-Tribune)

FFToday's Take: By all accounts, Gordon's rookie season went about as poorly as it could have. Not only did Danny Woodhead steal a significant chunk of his potential red-zone work, but the No. 15 overall pick received no help from his offensive line and then hurt his knee late in the season. Gordon's 7.03 ADP in PPR this summer is understandable, but one he should be able to outperform with only slightly better luck, assuming his knee holds up.
