Vernon Davis ruled out Sunday
49ers' TE to miss second straight game
By: John Canario | Oct 9 2015, 7:30 pm

San Francisco 49ers tight end Vernon Davis, despite practicing in a limited fashion all week long with a knee injury, has been ruled out of Sunday night's game at the New York Giants. Davis, in his 10th NFL season, sat out last week's game against the Green Bay Packers after suffering the injury the previous week at the Arizona Cardinals. He missed two games last season and one in 2013 but before then he had not missed a game since 2007. (ESPN)

FFToday's Take: Davis, like virtually every player on the 49ers' anemic offense, hasn't been a fantasy factor this year. With QB Colin Kaepernick struggling mightily of late, Davis is not even worth a bench spot at this point.
