Los Angeles Rams

ACL injury for Odell Beckham Jr.
Second ACL injury for Beckham
By: Mike Krueger | Feb 14 2022, 3:00 pm

#Rams WR Odell Beckham Jr. is believed to have torn his ACL in last night’s Super Bowl win, source said. That means a long road of recovery for the free agent, who has a challenge to be ready for 2022. Beckham had 2 catches for 52 yards, 1 TD and 1 moonwalk before the injury. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Beckham went down late in the first half of the Super Bowl with a non-contact injury to the same knee he injured in 2020. This will be the second ACL injury in two years which is certainly going to hurt his free agent value this off-season. Beckham has said publicly that he would like to return to the Rams, even at a pay cut.

Los Angeles Rams

Rams activate Darrell Henderson, Tyler Higbee Out
Sprained MCL for Higbee
By: Mike Krueger | Feb 11 2022, 4:02 pm

The #Rams officially activated RB Darrell Henderson and NT Sebastian Joseph-Day from Injured Reserve... but placed TE Tyler Higbee and OT Joseph Noteboom on IR. Both are out for Sunday. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Higbee was a long shot to play in Super Bowl LVI after injuring his knee during the Conference Championship game. Kendall Blanton is expecting to fill in after catching 5 passes for 57 yards on five targets against the 49ers. He's got some DFS appeal. How much Henderson plays is somewhat of a mystery. It's likely he'll be third in the pecking order behind Cam Akers and Sony Michel making him a dart-throw on this Showdown slate.

Los Angeles Rams

Robert Woods could be cleared by minicamp
Recovering from November ACL tear
By: Doug Orth | Feb 10 2022, 10:30 pm

Robert Woods tore his ACL in November during practice one day after the Rams agreed to terms with WR Odell Beckham Jr. and Woods jogged for the first time Wednesday since getting hurt. It felt good, and he’s on track to be cleared by minicamp in the spring. Woods anticipates a full recovery by the spring, but he emphasized the need for patience before he feels like he’s more than medically cleared and actually ready to play football again. (PFN - Aaron Wilson)

FFToday's Take: Beckham's impending free agency figures to play a large role in how important Woods will be for fantasy purposes in 2022, although he will almost certainly remain a fantasy starter either way. If OBJ leaves, Woods should be a low-end WR2 at worst. If Beckham returns, Woods would likely be a high-end WR3 at best.

New Orleans

New Orleans to promote Dennis Allen
Set to replace Sean Payton as head coach
By: Doug Orth | Feb 7 2022, 11:50 pm

The New Orleans Saints have informed DC Dennis Allen that they are hiring him as their next head coach, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter on Monday. Allen, 49, will replace his longtime boss, Sean Payton, who stepped away two weeks ago. This will be Allen's second stint as a head coach after he went 8-28 as coach of the Raiders from 2012 to 2014. The Saints also interviewed former NFL head coaches Brian Flores and Doug Pederson, Detroit Lions DC Aaron Glenn, Kansas City Chiefs OC Eric Bieniemy and their own special teams coordinator, Darren Rizzi, for the job. (ESPN - Mike Triplett)

FFToday's Take: The Saints will certainly miss Payton's play-calling acumen, but Allen gives the team its best shot of continuing the culture that the longtime coach built in the Big Easy. Allen's defense has become the strength of the team in recent years, and it seems likely that will be the case again in 2022. OC Pete Carmichael has long served as Payton's right-hand man on offense and should be able to get the Saints back on track as soon as they can find a capable quarterback.

Minnesota Vikings

Kirk Cousins likely to remain in Minnesota
Expected new HC high on veteran QB
By: Doug Orth | Feb 7 2022, 11:30 pm

Soon-to-be Vikings HC Kevin O'Connell conveyed a firm belief in Kirk Cousins during the interview process, I'm told. He's high on him. The front office must decide on Cousins' future due to his $45M cap hit, but many coaches interviewing for job liked Cousins, O'Connell included. (ESPN - Jeremy Fowler)

FFToday's Take: Cousins is entering the final season of the three-year extension he signed in 2020. With a $35 million base salary and $45 million dead cap hit, the Vikings are likely stuck with him whether they want to be or not. Cousins actually played some of the best football of his career at times in 2021, but a relatively weak finish to the season gave his critics enough ammunition to continue labeling him a quarterback unable to win the big game. Regardless, he should be considered a top 15 option at his position entering next season.

Houston Texans

Texans expected to hire Lovie Smith as head coach
Former Buccaneers and Bears head coach
By: Mike Krueger | Feb 7 2022, 2:38 pm

Texans are expected to hire former Buccaneers and Bears head coach Lovie Smith as their own head coach, sources tell me and @fieldyates. Smith was the Texans’ associate head coach last season; all he now needs to do is drop the associate from his title. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Smith hasn't had much luck as a head coach in the league and spent four years at the University of Illinois before returning to the NFL in 2021 as the defensive coordinator and associate head coach for Houston. This is an uninspiring hire for a team that seems to be lacking a direction.

New Orleans

Alvin Kamara arrested on battery charge
Charge of battery resulting in substantial bodily harm
By: Mike Krueger | Feb 6 2022, 10:00 pm

New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara was arrested on a battery charge on Sunday in Las Vegas after being accused of injuring someone at a nightclub on the eve of the Pro Bowl, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. The police said detectives determined the victim was battered by Kamara. (ESPN)

FFToday's Take: Not a good look for the Saints star running back. The investigation is ongoing and very few details are available. We should know more in the coming days.

Jacksonville Jaguars

Jaguars hire Doug Pederson as head coach
Pederson spent last season out of football
By: Mike Krueger | Feb 3 2022, 10:35 am

Doug Pederson and the #Jaguars have now agreed in principle, source said. He’s their new coach. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Pederson spent last season out of football after getting let go by the Eagles after the 2020 season. He went 42-37-1 in five years with Philadelphia. Jacksonville has gone through a host of head coach interviews over the last couple weeks including Darrell Bevell, Byron Leftwich, Nathaniel Hackett and others. Jacksonville has been a perennial doormat and Pederson has his work cut out for him get the franchise turned around with Trevor Lawrence at the helm on the field.

Los Angeles Rams

Tyler Higbee dealing with MCL sprain
Status for Super Bowl uncertain
By: Doug Orth | Jan 31 2022, 10:00 pm

Tyler Higbee sprained his MCL, per McVay. Team will try to get him back for SB but will be day to day process. (The Athletic - Jourdan Rodrigue)

FFToday's Take: Much as is the case with C.J. Uzomah, who also suffered an MCL sprain on Sunday, Higbee figures to be a longshot to be completely healthy in two weeks. Kendall Blanton came up big in Higbee's absence in the NFC Championship and would likely be a decent bet for at least five targets in the Super Bowl if Higbee is unable to make it back in time. Blanton would be the preferred option over Drew Sample if neither starting tight end is cleared to play in the Super Bowl.

Cincinnati Bengals

MCL sprain for C.J. Uzomah, could play in Super Bowl
MRI encouraging
By: Mike Krueger | Jan 31 2022, 1:05 pm

#Bengals coach Zac Taylor says the MRI was “encouraging.” Just an MCL sprain. He’s got a chance. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: C.J. Uzomah has very emotional as he left the AFC Championship game on a cart. It seems unlikely that he'll be able to recover in time to play in Super Bowl LVI but it's certainly a possibility. Drew Sample is the next man up.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Tom Brady calls it a career
22 seasons and 7 Super Bowl rings
By: Mike Krueger | Jan 29 2022, 2:29 pm

Tom Brady is retiring from football after 22 extraordinary seasons, multiple sources tell @JeffDarlington and me. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: 22 seasons and 7 Super Bowl rings. Not a bad little career for TB12 who is 44 years-old, coming off a season where he led the league in passing yards (5316) and passing TDs (43). Serious hints about Brady's retirement starting surfacing over the last week or so and it seems clear that the Bucs are in for a significant overhaul of their roster with Chris Godwin (ACL) set to become a free agent.

New York Giants

Giants hire Brian Daboll as their new head coach
Former Bills' Offensive Coordinator
By: Mike Krueger | Jan 28 2022, 6:28 pm

The Giants are hiring Brian Daboll as their head coach. So it’s an all-new Buffalo duo with Joe Schoen. (Jordan Raanan on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Daboll has been the Bills offensive coordinator for the last four years. Former Bills assistant general manager Joe Schoen has been hired as the GM for the Giants. They will attempt to turnaround an offense that's sputtered the last two seasons with Daniel Jones at quarterback.

Pittburgh Steelers

Big Ben calls it a career
QB opts to retire following 18-year career
By: Doug Orth | Jan 27 2022, 8:40 pm

Ben Roethlisberger officially announced his retirement via social media Thursday, Jan. 27. (Ben Roethlisberger on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Roethlisberger steps away from the game as arguably the best quarterback in the storied history of the Steelers. He also figures to get a Hall of Fame call sometime in 2027 when he is first eligible to be inducted. Big Ben's play had fallen off considerably in recent years, but there's little doubt he was still a better option than Mason Rudolph or Dwayne Haskins. The Steelers may be stuck deciding between those two in 2022 if they strike out in free agency because their first draft pick in April isn't until No. 20.

Chicgao Bears

Bears hire former Colts' DC Matt Eberflus as Head Coach
Chicago has missed the playoffs in 9 of the last 11 years
By: Mike Krueger | Jan 27 2022, 10:51 am

Former Colts’ defensive coordinator Matt Eberflus is being hired as the head coach of the Chicago Bears, per sources. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Eberflus has spent the last four seasons as the Colts DC. The Bears recently hired former Chiefs executive Ryan Poles to be their GM so it's a new era in Chicago as they move forward with Justin Fields at quarterback. Chicago has missed the playoffs in 9 of the last 11 years.

Denver Broncos

Broncos hire Nathaniel Hackett as Head Coach
Green Bay OC heading to Denver
By: Mike Krueger | Jan 27 2022, 6:52 am

The #Broncos are finalizing a deal with #Packers OC Nathaniel Hackett to make him their new head coach, per sources. Contract talks heated up Wednesday night. The #Jaguars planned to interview Hackett again today. Instead, Denver lands its top choice. (Tom Pelissero on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Hackett was expected to get a head coaching job this season after spending the last three years as the Packers' offensive coordinator. The speculation will begin immediately regarding Aaron Rodgers and potentially Davante Adams heading to Denver to join their former OC.

New Orleans

Sean Payton is stepping away from coaching
Not necessarily retiring, but taking a break
By: Mike Krueger | Jan 25 2022, 2:00 pm

I can confirm via source that Sean Payton is stepping away from coaching. Press conference expected this afternoon. Payton is not necessarily permanently retiring but deciding to take a break after 16 years as Saints coach. No word yet on immediate plans, though sources have told ESPN TV networks are interested. Payton under contract through 2024 so another team would have to trade for him. (Mike Triplett on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Sounds like Payton needs a break. It won't surprising to see him take a year off, show up on TV during Sunday's, then get back into coaching the Saints (or somewhere else) for the 2023 season. New Orleans has plenty of issues on offense, including Michael Thomas' ongoing health issues and a question mark at the quarterback position.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Tom Brady mulling retirement?
QB cites family time as a major factor in his playing future
By: Doug Orth | Jan 24 2022, 9:25 pm

Tom Brady on his Let’s Go podcast about his wife and family and football. “It pains her to see me get hit out there. And she deserves what she needs from me as a husband and my kids deserve what they need from me as a dad. (Tampa Bay Times - Rick Stroud)

FFToday's Take: It is hard to imagine Brady hanging up his cleats following a season in which he led the league in passing yards (5,316) and passing TDs (43), but he has also played in the league about half of his life at this point. He has certainly earned the right to move onto the next stage of his life. Retirement seems unlikely right now, but the 44-year-old appears as if he is going to take his time to decide.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Bucs activate Leonard Fournette, waive Le'Veon Bell
Fournette expected to play
By: Mike Krueger | Jan 22 2022, 3:50 pm

Bucs are waiving Le’Veon Bell today to make room for Leonard Fournette being activated off injured reserve. (Greg Auman on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: We've assumed this transaction was coming and here it is. Fournette is expected to play against the Rams on Sunday after missing the last month with a hamstring injury. With Ronald Jones out, expect Giovani Bernard to backup Fournette with a sprinkle of Ke'Shawn Vaughn mixed in.

Tennessee Titans

Derrick Henry not expected to be on a snap count
Missed nine games with foot injury
By: Mike Krueger | Jan 22 2022, 10:17 am

I was told Derrick Henry will not be on a snap count, he will have no limitations, and the coaching staff will keep a close eye on him to watch his conditioning and comfort. The team practiced in pads this week to get him ready to take his hits. (Dianna Russini on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: It sounds like the Titans are ready to roll with Henry in their Divisional game against the Bengals. He missed nine games with a foot injury which caused the Titans to go with a committee approach using D'Onta Foreman and Dontrell Hilliard for the bulk of running back touches. With Henry back in the mix, he's is in the top tier of fantasy running backs this week.

Tennessee Titans

Derrick Henry activated off Injured Reserve
Missed 9 games with foot injury
By: Mike Krueger | Jan 21 2022, 4:00 pm

Titans officially activated RB Derrick Henry off injured reserve and he is expected to start Saturday vs. the Bengals. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Henry last played in Week 8, missing nine games with a foot injury. It remains to been how much work he will get but he's expected to start against the Bengals and it would be shocking if he didn't lead the Titans' running backs in snaps and carries.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Breshad Perriman unlikely to play, abdominal injury
Bucs WR missed practice Friday
By: Mike Krueger | Jan 21 2022, 12:22 pm

Arians says Breshad Perriman has a new abdominal injury with a tear and didn’t practice at all today. Seems unlikely to be able to go Sunday. With Perriman and Grayson still question marks, Arians said receiver John Brown has looked very good in practice and they’ll consider elevating him Sunday for depth at receiver. (Greg Auman on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: The Bucs are going to be short-handed at receiver against the Rams with Mike Evans likely called upon to do the heavy lifting. Tyler Johnson and Scotty Miller should also see plenty of snaps in the Divisional Round.

Tennessee Titans

Final decision on Derrick Henry coming Friday
RB has practiced the last two weeks
By: Doug Orth | Jan 20 2022, 9:40 pm

Vrabel: Derrick Henry is progressing well. We added a little more to his workload each day. We’ll make a decision tomorrow. (Titans Insider - Terry McCormick)

FFToday's Take: Vrabel also noted that the team is adding "a little more to his workload each day (in practice)," suggesting it is likely a formality he will play on Sunday. The major question is more likely if he will return to the 25-30 touch workload he was seeing pre-injury or if the Titans will let D'Onta Foreman take a handful of carries this weekend. Either way, Henry has a great shot to be the top-scoring back in fantasy this week even though he hasn't played since Week 8.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Leonard Fournette back at practice Thursday
Hamstring injury
By: Mike Krueger | Jan 20 2022, 11:45 am

Bucs tailback Leonard Fournette, still technically on injured reserve, was spotted at the portion of Thursday morning’s practice open to reporters. Two days ago, Fournette tweeted a message suggesting he would be ready for Sunday’s NFC divisional playoff against the Rams. Ronald Jones, who has missed the last two games with an ankle injury, was out of his protective boot and working with a trainer. (Rick Stroud on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: It seems like Fournette is trending towards playing after sitting out Wildcard Weekend against the Eagles. We should know more after practice on Friday. Giovani Bernard and Ke'Shawn Vaughn are expected to be available as well.

Green Bay Packers

Randall Cobb expected to play against 49ers
Last played in Week 12
By: Mike Krueger | Jan 19 2022, 12:50 pm

Matt LaFleur on Randall Cobb: “I would anticipate him playing in this game.” (Matt Schneidman on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Cobb last played in Week 12 when suffered a core muscle injury. His presence will ding the fantasy value of Allen Lazard and Marquez Valdes-Scantling making all three risky fantasy plays in the Divisional Round.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Bucs RBs remain uncertain for Divisional Round
Fournette, RoJo "question marks" versus Rams
By: Doug Orth | Jan 18 2022, 12:40 am

Arians said Bucs will have to see if Leonard Fournette can go full speed on his hamstring, said Ronald Jones isn't cutting yet on his injured ankle, so both remain question marks for next weekend's game. (The Athletic - Greg Auman)

FFToday's Take: Both backs sat out the Wild Card win against the Eagles, so it is not terribly surprising Arians remain iffy on their status a day after the game. Jones did not practice at all last week, making him the more unlikely of the two to go against the Rams. Fournette remains on IR, so the team does not have to report his practice status. Fantasy managers or DFS players will have to wait on beat writers for confirmation one way or the other later in the week. If neither one can go, Giovani Bernard would be the preferred option over Ke'Shawn Vaughn from this backfield given his involvement in the passing game.

San Francisco

Jimmy Garoppolo nursing shoulder injury
HC expects him to practice Wednesday
By: Doug Orth | Jan 18 2022, 12:20 am

QB Jimmy Garoppolo has a "slight shoulder sprain" - his throwing shoulder - but should be able to practice Wednesday, Kyle Shanahan said. (Eric Branch on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Shanahan has been wrong or just plain deceptive when discussing his team's injuries a few times this season, so it wouldn't be surprising if Jimmy G struggles to get a full practice in this week and/or misses the Divisional Round game against the Packers. Either way, fantasy managers and DFS players probably aren't going to use him much anyway. If he sits, rookie Trey Lance would be thrust into the lineup and make for an interesting DFS punt - one with a huge ceiling and a low floor.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Leonard Fournette not expected to play Wildcard Weekend
Giovani Bernard will be active
By: Mike Krueger | Jan 15 2022, 3:32 pm

Source tells me Lavonte David and Giovani Bernard will be activated from IR. Leonard Fournette will not be activated. (Jenna Laine on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Fournette (hamstring) got in some practice this week but apparently isn't ready to go. The Bucs will have Ke'Shawn Vaughn, Le'Veon Bell and Giovani Bernard active for their games against the Eagles. Given Bernard has missed the last five weeks with knee and hip issues. Vaughn has some uninspiring Flex appeal this week.

Pittburgh Steelers

JuJu Smith-Schuster expected to play Sunday night
Shoulder injury
By: Mike Krueger | Jan 15 2022, 2:15 pm

God answered my prayers & I’ve recovered from my season-ending shoulder injury earlier than expected. I can’t believe I get another chance to take the field with this team and play in a playoff game to keep our season alive. Steelers Nation, #HereWeGo! (JuJu on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: He's not really a fantasy option but it appears JuJu Smith-Schuster is going to play Sunday night. How much he plays after a 13-week absence is unclear.

Pittburgh Steelers

Najee Harris removed from injury report
Expected to play Sunday night
By: Mike Krueger | Jan 15 2022, 12:51 pm

Steelers are removing RB Najee Harris from the injury/status report with his elbow injury, and he is expected to play Sunday night vs. the Chiefs. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Even though Harris was on the injury report with an elbow issue we didn't have too much concern about his availability for the Steelers Wildcard game against the Chiefs. His volume makes him a solid play even with the Steelers being 12.5 point underdogs.

Kansas City Chiefs

Clyde Edwards-Helaire Out for Wildcard Weekend
Shoulder injury
By: Mike Krueger | Jan 14 2022, 2:20 pm

Clyde Edwards-Helaire didn't practice for Chiefs today for second straight day. He will not play for Chiefs on Sunday. Tyreek Hill and Darrel Williams completed the practice week and the plan is for both to play against the Steelers. (Adam Teicher on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: With CEH out, the Chiefs will lean on Darrel Williams, Derrick Gore and Jerick McKinnon at running back with Darrel having the most fantasy upside. The Steelers gave up the 7th most fantasy points to running backs this season.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Leonard Fournette a gametime decision
Hamstring injury
By: Mike Krueger | Jan 14 2022, 12:42 pm

The only players out for Sunday's game is Cyril Grayson and Ronald Jones, Bruce Arians said. "There's about four game-time decisions, the guys coming off IR or have been out, that we'll have to see on the field Sunday before the game." "I feel pretty good about Shaq (Barrett) and JPP,'' Arians said. "The most questionable would be Lavonte (David) with Leonard Fournette." (Rick Stroud on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Fournette injured his hamstring in Week 15 and hasn't played since so it will take a leap of faith for fantasy owners to plug him in their lineups. The majority of beat reporters feel like Fournette will go given his practice participation this week. If he misses, Ke'Shawn Vaughn would get the majority of reps at running back but wouldn't be a recommended fantasy play.

Arizona Cardinals

James Conner, Chase Edmonds gameday decisions
Edmonds says he's playing
By: Mike Krueger | Jan 13 2022, 1:16 pm

Listening to Cardinals RB Chase Edmonds just now leads me to believe both he and RB James Conner will be ready to go Monday night against the Rams. Both players have been banged up. (Bob McManaman on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Speaking to the media, HC Kliff Kingsbury said Conner (ribs) and Edmonds (ribs, toe) will be gameday decisions but Edmonds said he would be good to go. It's likely Conner will be playing as well but its difficult to tell at this point if he will be limited. Both will be risky Flex plays in the Wildcard Round of the fantasy playoffs.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Cyril Grayson, Ronald Jones Doubtful for Wildcard Weekend
Bucs walkthrough practice on Wednesday
By: Mike Krueger | Jan 12 2022, 12:45 pm

Cyril Grayson and Ronald Jones are doubtful for Sunday, Arians said. (Rick Stroud on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Head coach Bruce Arians speaking to the media today labeled both offensive players as Doubtful for the Bucs game against the Eagles. We're expecting Leonard Fournette to be in a workhorse role in his first game back since suffering a hamstring injury in Week 15.

Dallas Cowboys

Tony Pollard expected to play in Wild Card Round
Sat out season finale to rest foot injury
By: Doug Orth | Jan 11 2022, 1:45 am

Cowboys EVP Stephen Jones said on @1053thefan that he feels great about RB Tony Pollard’s availability for Sunday’s playoff game against the 49ers: “Absolutely. He’ll be ready to roll.” Pollard (foot) didn’t play Saturday. (The Athletic - Jon Machota)

FFToday's Take: Pollard's return takes on slightly less importance with Ezekiel Elliott looking more like himself of late. With that said, Dallas will definitely welcome his explosiveness against the 49ers. Pollard's weekly floor has been about 10 touches and could range higher than that in any game where the Cowboys find themselves in negative game script. That could easily happen this weekend, making Pollard a worthwhile ceiling play in DFS.

Kansas City Chiefs

Tyreek Hill should be OK for first round of playoffs
Injured heel in Week 18
By: Doug Orth | Jan 11 2022, 1:30 am

Tyreek Hill injured his heel warming up for the team’s game against the Denver Broncos on Saturday, seeing limited snaps in the game. Reid also had positive news when it came to his star wide receiver. “The heel was sore after the game, and it’s making a little progress the other way,” he said. “We’re anticipating he’s going to be OK to go. He’s another one that wants to play every snap he can.” (Arrowhead Pride - Pete Sweeney)

FFToday's Take: Hill may have finished with a career-high 111 catches this season, but the way he finished the regular season was far from memorable. After posting a 12-148-1 line in Week 15 against the Chargers, Hill totaled nine receptions for 61 scoreless yards over the final three games. After logging just 12 plays in the season finale, it seems unlikely the speedster will be worthy of a play in DFS or playoff leagues this weekend versus the Steelers.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Cyril Grayson nursing hamstring injury
Status in question for Wildcard game
By: Mike Krueger | Jan 10 2022, 12:17 pm

#Bucs HC Bruce Arians says that the hamstring injury to Cyril Grayson Jr. is not quite as bad as they thought, but his availability for this Sunday is in question. (Pewter Report on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Grayson has helped fill the void of Antonio Brown and Chris Godwin missing time due to injury, suspension and shenanigans but should be considered highly questionable for the Bucs Wildcard game against the Eagles. Expect Tom Brady to lean on Mike Evans, Breshad Perriman and Rob Gronkowski

Las Vegas Raiders

Waller, Jacobs listed as Questionable for Raiders
Both are gametime decisions
By: Mike Krueger | Jan 7 2022, 4:00 pm

Darren Waller was a limited participant in walk-throughs throughout the week, which marked the first time he practiced since suffering knee and back injuries against the Cowboys on Thanksgiving. He’s listed as questionable to play Sunday. Running back Josh Jacobs (ribs) was a limited participant all week. He’s questionable to play, but he’ll suit up if he can tolerate the pain. (The Athletic)

FFToday's Take: Waller is going to be a gametime decision and is no lock to play a full amount of snaps even if he is active. We should get a better read on Waller's status Sunday morning. Jacobs seems a better bet to play but both should will be uncomfortable fantasy options in Week 18.

Pittburgh Steelers

Diontae Johnson off the Covid list
Placed on the list Thursday
By: Mike Krueger | Jan 7 2022, 3:03 pm

The #Steelers have officially activated WR Diontae Johnson from the COVID-19 reserve list. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Johnson was placed on the Covid list just yesterday and now removed a little over 24 hours later. He'll resume his role as the top option for Ben Roethlisberger in Pittsburgh's version of the horizontal raid.

Green Bay Packers

Aaron Rodgers expected to start
My not play the whole game
By: Mike Krueger | Jan 7 2022, 2:47 pm

The Packers are planning to start Aaron Rodgers on Sunday and then LaFleur will see how the game goes. “I don’t think he needs to play. I think he wants to play and keep the momentum going.” (Rob Demovsky on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: The Packers don't have anything to play for but Rodgers still wants to start. If the Packers get out to an early lead, we could see Rodgers and host of other starters including Davante Adams, Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon play sparingly in the 2nd half.

Arizona Cardinals

Chase Edmonds ruled Out for Week 18
Toe, rib injuries for Edmonds
By: Mike Krueger | Jan 7 2022, 1:26 pm

Cardinals coach Kliff Kingsbury said RB Chase Edmonds (toe/ribs), CB Marco Wilson (shoulder) and DL Jordan Phillips (knee) will not play Sunday vs. Seahawks. (Bob McManaman on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Edmonds missed practice all week and will not suit up against Seattle. James Conner has missed the last two games with an ankle injury and was limited in practice Wednesday and Thursday. It remains to be seen how much he will play this week. He should not be counted on for a full workload. We may see Jonathan Ward and Eno Benjamin this week.
